As it is our 250th Anniversary of the Village the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee are hoping to have a bigger and more successful parade this year.
We are asking everyone to get involved this year.
St. Patrick’s Day parade gives the village of Slane a great atmosphere and is very exciting for both young and old.
Are you interested in taking part in this spectacular event, if so please fill in the application form .
Parade starts from St. Patrick’s N.S and finishes at Marian Tce.
Entrants must be in position by 2.30 p.m, the parade starts at 3p.m.
For insurance purposes, application form must be filled in and returned by March 5th.
As there is no entrance fee this year, any donations would be greatly appreciated.
You are asked not to throw sweets or articles from moving floats; this is dangerous as young children are inclined to run out on the street.
If you wish to hand out any thing, it is better to have someone walking along side your float distributing these items.
